STARS Counselor
It is a delight for me to have the opportunity to work with the students, families, educators and staff at Westmoreland Middle. You may have heard “it takes a village” when referring to raising families. I am grateful to be a part of this “village” and I am looking forward to engaging in learning with you and your families.
A few things about me:
- I enjoy gardening, “putting up” peaches, tomatoes, salsa, pickles, being outdoors.
- My husband and I have three adult children, six grandchildren, a labrador retriever, a cat and chickens who keep us busy!

What is a STARS SAP Counselor?
- The Student Assistance Program (SAP) allows STARS to positively impact youth development by nurturing social and emotional competency. SAP is an award-winning, evidence-based program that addresses social and emotional barriers for youth, such as substance misuse, violence and bullying.
- We assist students in achieving academic and social success by promoting healthy development, reducing barriers to learning and building upon strengths. Our focus extends beyond challenges–actively building on students’ strengths, fostering resilience and enhancing protective factors.
